AC Boardwalk Art Show

On September 7, 2013 after a 13 year absence the Boardwalk Art Show returned to Atlantic City.  More than 80 artists displayed their artistic works of art.  The show was sponsored by the AC Arts Commission and the Noyes Museum of Art at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.  Apparently many artists applied for an invitation to display their work, but a selection committee decided which art to display.  As you will see in the following photos the art work included many different talents, resulting in beautiful displays.

Everyone was greeted by this swing and sway character.  He danced to a musical beat and the children loved it.

The live demonstration by the muralist was very entertaining as he created his creation.

The above works of art were brought to the show by William Clark, of Buena, New Jersey.  It's fun to identify the materials used to create these unique figures.

A very lovely young lady displayed the above acrylic painting.  Her business card credits her as a visual artist.

Many people stopped to take pictures of more metal works of art.

Since I love animals of all kinds, it was very pleasant to talk to the lady featuring custom birdhouses and bird feeders  Her business card indicated she was from Cape Porpoise, Maine, and her title is Sawdust Sisters.

Oh happy day, what would an art show be without Balloon Man?

It wasn't the end of my afternoon, since a stroll on the board was to tempting.

The colorful pretzel cart was not in operation, but it made a fun photo.

Clear blue sky, ocean below, the wind blowing through your hair, and the excitement of flying must have fulfilled the participants dreams.

There a number of shops with reasonably priced garments.  End of season sales are beginning to  attract end of season visitors.

Greetings my friends come and visit the Irish Pub.

Ocean Avenue is a way to the beach.  What else do you see?

Everyone needs a break, and what better place than an outdoor food area.  Perhaps the next time I will  taste what appeared to be a very tempting menu.
