2013 Chatsworth, NJ Cranberry Festival

The 30th annual Chatsworth, NJ Cranberry Festival has come and gone, but the memories live on.  Mother Nature certainly cooperated providing blue skies and moderate fall temperatures.  The Chatsworth residents once again certainly extended  hospitality to the many festival visitors.  The festival's committee works year round to provide a well organized affair and although I have not attended each year I have found my occasional visits are justifiably rewarding.  The Festival is held the 3rd weekend in October and it brings many people to the NJ Pine Barrens.

The White Horse Inn was open to the public.  It has become a center of attraction since the yearly festival has become the financial security for the maintenance of the historical structure.

This vendor not only had beautiful merchandise for sale, he also gave a very inspiring melody with the reed flute.

Perhaps this is the captain of the "Good Ship Pleasure", wish we could join him in search of a treasure.

Additional wood carvings were quite colorful.

The Harleys were not for sale, but they certainly were convenient for their owners in finding a parking space.

Oh, the wonderful years of childhood.  Takes me back a few years or should I say many years.  My favorite pony ride was on a particular pony on the Steeple Chase Pier in Atlantic City.  Round and round I went and I wished it would never stop.

Prince was on guard, sorry no rides.

Something can be said for the " Great Escape."

Congratulations to the Chatsworth residents that spent a great deal of time creating these fabulous soft sculptures.

Cranberries were the food of the day.  Cakes, pies, breads, other desserts and cranberry chili were a big hit.

This craftsman was very busy creating one of a kind items at your request.

Cones of seasoned almonds would tempt any palate.

It was entertaining watching and listening to a vendor explain the directions on how to assemble the paper lights.  The young woman listening bobbed her head indicating she was fully understanding the intricate steps needed to assemble the light.  I certainly hope it came with step by step paper directions.

My friend and I always like to look at wood crafted items.  The above benches have a rustic design that made us take a longer look.  Thank you for viewing my photos and visiting the Festival with me.
