On the Road Again

A brilliant spring day was instrumental in making the decision to leave the house work and gardening to another time.  An early morning departure started our day off at Columbus Farmer's Market on Highway 206.  The outdoor market attracts those who shop for antiques, new merchandise or those who want a day out in the fresh air and sunshine.  It was a perfect day, not to hot, and not to cool.  I limited my purchases, but my friend couldn't resist tomato plants, strawberries and vendors selling items for $1.00.

Craft items are randomly found through out the market.  The creator of these bird houses was cheerful in explaining their durability.

Continuing to another craft table, this charming lady was busy making  very nice items, and she welcomed the opportunity to answer any questions.

Some of her items are displayed here.  I observed people seemed to be most interested in the Phillies banks and tissue holders.

The gentleman selling this bike was hesitant as to sell or not.  He sold it because as we walked around the market we saw a couple pushing it to their car.  The bike was great, but I liked the bell.

The person who created this must have had nothing better to do.  Look carefully as you identify the selected material to create this one of a kind.

Round and round it goes---where it stops nobody knows.  A true gambler knows the right visor to wear.

These cuties were quiet,  peaceful, not hungry and for sale.  To describe them would be to say each one was "cute as a button."

Tiny tea figurines were on sale for 2 for a $1.00.  Later in the day we saw them for $3.00 each in an antique shop.

Records of the past brought back memories of one song on one side of the 78's.

Tasty foods can be found throughout the market, bagels, sandwiches, breads, and much more is readily available.

After leaving the market we stopped at the Grist Mill Antiques Center in Pemberton, N.J.  Rooms and rooms of things of the past.

Next to the shoppe are some beautiful scenes.

The bridge goes over a stream where many people canoe or kayak.

Beautiful trees were in full bloom.  Nature was certainly putting on a lovely display.

Across the street from the Grist Mill is the Mill Creek Park.  It's an enjoyable place to sit and relax and many children find the playground entertaining.

This handsome figure immediately catches your attention.  A litte boy went to the figure as soon as he entered the park.  I certainly hope he and his mother had an enjoyable visit, because my friend and I certainly did.  A great day !!!!!
