Mail-Boxes

Last evening I had the pleasure to have dinner with some friends. It was very entertaining listening to a young lady who recently obtained a position as a mail carrier in Atlantic City, NJ. She spoke of delivering mail in all weather conditions, meeting people from all walks of life, and everyday challenges and rewards. Needless to say, she does not appreciate a rainy day since the dripping of the rain off her raincoat hood makes a difficult situation. In rural areas the mail is delivered by a mail carrier having access to a vehicle--thus we sometimes see colorful and clever mail-boxes along the roadside.

Elsie the Cow proudly stands along the side of the road.

Golf anyone.  I would really feel confident with a club and a swing at this size golf ball.  Tiger Woods this might be a new trend on the course.

Three cheers for the red, white and blue.  It became very outstanding after someone patiently painted the brilliant colors.

The colonial shade of blue made this box very pretty.  The property owner was very pleased that I had stopped to take a picture and post it on my mail-box blog.

A very neatly displayed chain inspired box.  It is very visible since it is located in an open space area.

The Harley Davidson mail-box was hand crafted and for sale at one of the local festivals.

It's rather difficult to select a favorite mail-box.  My rural mail-box is simply an everyday box but it serves the purpose.  This is not my box.

Owners of this box are proprietors of a farm and garden center.  Pink is cool!!! I hope to add more photos as we travel along the interesting roads of New Jersey.
